Florida Local Band Member Dead from Motorcycle Crash

A member of a well-known band from New Port Richey was recently killed after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Hudson, Florida, an article for News 10 reported on November 28.

Information coming from authorities revealed that on November 27, well-known fiddler Robert Leroy Cartwright succumbed to the injuries he sustained while being treated at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. The Florida Highway Patrol told reports that Cartwright, 33, was thrown out of his motorcycle after crashing the rear portion of an SUV on U.S. Highway 19 at Beach Boulevard. The SUV had turned left going to the path of the southbound motorcycle when the mishap took place. The SUV driver was later identified as 56-year-old Francine Cherry. Fans of The Bearded Brothers Band mourn Cartwright’s demise by expressing their thoughts to the band’s Facebook page.
