Mercedes-Benz recalls over 8,000 SUVs due to Defective Floor Mats

Since 1992 Vince Bruner has devoted his practice solely to work as a Plaintiff's personal injury lawyer, dedicated to assisting people injured in accidents.

Mercedes-Benz has recalled select all-season accessory floor mats sold for use in model year 2012 and 2013 Mercedes-Benz ML-Class SUVs. According to the recall notice, the floor mats in question may not properly conform to the contour of the vehicle’s floor plan. The recall affects models 8,675 ML350, ML550 and ML63. As such, the clearance between the mat and gas pedal may be constricted, thus causing the gas pedal to become stuck, which may prevent it from retracting. Not surprisingly, this could make it hard to bring the vehicle to a stop. Drivers are advised to apply the brakes cautiously to slow the vehicle.
