How to apply for Social Security Disability

Since 1992 Vince Bruner has devoted his practice solely to work as a Plaintiff's personal injury lawyer, dedicated to assisting people injured in accidents.

Social Security and Supplemental Security Income Disability are the two biggest Federal programs providing assistance to those that have been determined to be disabled. Social Security Disability Insurance pays out to people that have been determined to be insured. Meaning, they must have worked long enough and paid social security taxes. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays benefits base on financial need. In order to qualify for either, you must meet the Social Security definition of disabled. If you think you may eligible for benefits, try using the Social Security Administration’s Disability screening tool at: https://ssabest.benefits.gov/

In order to apply, you can fill out an application online (https://www.ssa.gov/applyfordisability/), at your local social security office, or by calling: 1-800-772-1213

In any event, you may be denied benefits. If you need help appealing a denial of social security disability benefits, contact the Bruner Firm today at 1.800.BRUNER.1 or fill out our online form. We serve nearly all of the Florida Panhandle and are prepared to fight your case today.
